All injuries must be reported to a teacher, nurse or to the office staff. If minor, the student will be treated and may return to class. If medical attention is required, the office will follow the School's emergency procedures. Students may not text or e-mail their parents to pick them up from school. A student who becomes injured or ill during the school day must request permission from the teacher to go to the office. The school nurse or designee will determine whether the student should remain in school or go home. No student will be released from school without proper parental permission.

The Board has established a policy that every student must have an Emergency Medical Authorization Form completed and signed by his/her parent in order to participate in any activity off school grounds. This includes field trips, spectator trips, athletic and other extracurricular activities, and co-curricular activities. The school has made the Emergency Medical Authorization Form available to every parent at the time of enrollment. A student’s failure to return the completed form to school may jeopardize the student’s participation in school activities. The emergency medical authorization form must be completed annually.
