Dec’ the Doors!

Posted in: General by T. Wetzel

In annual style, MBA (Marketing & Business Association) hosted a door decorating contest for all classes, clubs, and offices. This year, there were eight doors entered. Doors were judged on 1. originality & creativity, 2. Quality of construction, 3. Clear identification of the group & its members, and 4. holiday theme.

These year’s winning door goes to Ms. Younger’s Marketing Class (6th Hour)! Congratulations! They will receive a holiday treat on Friday.

Here are photos of all the doors entered (in no particular order), but I encourage you to take a walk around the building and see them up close…

Panther Press is Back and Online!

Posted in: Community, General by T. Wetzel

Panther-Press

Wilmot’s school newspaper is back! Students in Mrs. Carlisle’s Journalism class & Mr. Wetzel’s Web 3.0 class are teaming up to bring the Panther Press back & online. This is the first time in history that the Panther Press is completely online! Just point your browser to wilmothighschool.com/PantherPress -and save it to your favorites too.

The online news source contains articles in the following categories: features, news, sports, events, reviews, editorials, & clubs. The students have a goal to post new article every week. Journalism students pitch their ideas then proceed with collecting information and the writing process. The graphics and photos are created and published by students in Mr. Wetzel’s Web 3.0 class.

Since the news is now online, you are encouraged to engage in the conversation by leaving comments. Let the author know how much you enjoyed the article, or provide your thoughts on the topic. Enjoy the new Panther Press!
