Apple Field Trip
Yesterday, October 22, the advanced web design class went on a field trip to the Apple retail store in Mayfair Mall in Milwaukee. We when we arrived we were greeted by all the employees. They started with an intro demo on Photo Booth and had us then play around on it and take some pictures and videos. Next had us email them to ourselves from the apple email. After that they introduced iPhoto to us and showed everyone how to create events, combine events and edit the pictures directly from iPhoto. They taught us how to us geo tagging that most new cameras and phones are being sold with. They showed us how to make faces in iPhoto so that when you have friends they are tagged in your pictures. After iPhoto they showed us iMovie where you can do many of editing options to make a sweet movies. After that they showed us how to take the video we made in iMovie and put that into iDVD and make it a DVD with a final menu and title page like a real DVD movie. After they showed us all these cool features on the Macs they let us roam the store and try everything out for our selves.

You may have experienced the website being down recently. The website is being transferred to a new web server which may cause outages at times. This process should be done by the evening hours on Saturday, September 19.
As a result of this transfer, our website will now be hosted on our own in-house web server. The website will perform much faster inside and outside of the building.
If you experience major problems or errors, please send to webmaster@wilmoths.k12.wi.us

You may have noticed that the weather icon on the homepage has been displaying uncomfortably high temperatures. I think today it said 111 degrees F. The weather icon gets it’s weather information from weather.com which receives its report from a weather station located at Wilmot Mountain. Please excuse this error.
Did you notice our website just received a face lift? Our fresh new design just went live, and we hope you like it! Please excuse our mess while there are still a few things we need to fix and clean up. Many thanks to Josh Betz for his help on making this new design come to life!
Our main messages will appear right here, on the home page (wilmothighschool.com) and you’ll find many other news, events, and posts on our new blog by clicking the link in the upper-right corner or by clicking here.
Stay tuned for many new tweeks and enhancements as we approach another exciting school year!
