When Apple recently released it’s tablet, the iPad, reception was mixed. Many thought that it was over priced while others thought that it was the best thing ever. Back in December, before the iPad was even announced, the JooJoo was announced. It had been previously called the Crunch Pad bui when TechCrunch dropped support for it the hardware maker decided to release it. It has less storage than the iPad and it is not user accessible. IT uses web apps instead of nativley installed applications. One feature that it has that the iPad doesn’t is a  webcam for video conferencing and that is an important feature that will keep people from buying the iPad.

WUHS takes great pride in the programs we offer for incoming freshmen to ease in the transition of grade school to high school!

The EXPO is tonight from 5:30 – 8:00 pm. Use entrance A at the southwest corner of the building.

Bring your future “Wilmot Grad” to explore many of the programs and opportunities Wilmot has to offer. Academic departments, athletic teams, and clubs of all kinds will have booths, presentations and plenty of information!

Blood Drive!  The student council will be hosting a Blood Center of Wisconsin Blood Drive on Tuesday, February 16 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Maki Gym.  Interested students, staff and community members should contact Ms. Tracy Carlisle at 262-862-2351 x.147 to make an appointment.

Do you enjoy writing?  At the end of the semester the Journalism class came to a close.  Since this has happened, the school paper now has no one to report the news!  I am opening up the opportunity to students to help create the 3 remaining issues of the Panther Press! If you are interested in writing for the paper and becoming a published writer, come to an informational meeting on MONDAY, February 1 in room 147 at 3:00!

Registration for the next session of Spinning classes begins Monday, February 1^st.  Classes begin on February 15^th.

Classes will be held Mondays & Tuesdays @ 5:30 a.m., Wednesdays @ 7:15 p.m., & Saturdays @ 7:00 a.m. and 8:15 a.m.

The cost is $15 for current fitness center members and $25 for non-fitness center members.

Semester 1 grades will be available for online viewing (via Skyward) on Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Parents that have requested to receive paper copies should expect those in the mail within one week of Wednesday, January 27, 2010.

“Turnabout Valentines Dance” has returned.  Saturday, February 13th, 2010, in the commons from 7-10:30 pm.  Girls, ask that special guy to Turnabout.  One of the best dances of the year.  Music by Trav-A-Ling Tunes. Tickets go on sale Monday, February 1st during lunch hours.
