Wilmot graduate, Chris Nelson, will be playing quarterback in the WFCA All Star game for the South Division 1-3 teams this Saturday. The game is being played at UW-Oshkosh Titan Stadium at 5 PM and will broadcast live on Time Warner Cable and Comcast sports stations state-wide. The game benefits the Children’s Hospital network as players and coaches were required to fundraise as a prerequisite to participate in the game.
Wilmot Head Football Coach Mike Greinke is participating as the linebackers coach on the South staff. Coach Greinke said during the week-long camp in Whitewater to prepare this past week, “Chris and I are very excited to be a part of this game. There are so many talented individuals here from players to coaches, and the game itself is going to be a very thrilling experience. To raise money for Children’s hospital was a huge honor for both of us as well. We have become very aware of how costly it is for parents to have a child with illness or disease. Any little thing we can do to ease their burden is our pleasure.”
Tickets are available at the stadium for a $5 donation to Children’s Hospital. Click here if you would like to contribute to Chris Nelson’s fundraising effort.
I am a portrait artist in Kenosha and also have a grandson (Kyle Steuck #58)that will be the starting center this fall at NMU.
I would like to talk to Chris Nelson about a portrait and see if I can hook him up with the center that might be handing him the ball this fall.
