Twenty students from Wilmot competed in the 4th annual Conference Academic Bowl on Monday, March 5th at Waterford Union High School.  The team finished 4th overall (although being announced 6th at the event) in the 8-member conference with a few noteworthy highlights.
Senior Steven Duban scored the highest on the Physics test by 5 questions, a considerable amount.  For his efforts Steven was given a 1st place medal and is Wilmot’s sole member of the 2012 1st team all-conference academic squad.  Kodos to Mr. Blount!
The Social Studies team of Paul Swartz, Alicia Dale, Lauren McClusky, Erik Barron and Elena Schleusner finished 2nd overall in conference with 198 out of 260 possible points
Paul was individually 3rd in conference in U.S. History and either Alicia Dale or Lauren McClusky placed 3rd in Geography.
The Science team of Steven Duban, Lauren Dickey, Carter Dybing, Dylan Walseth, and Daniel Dennis placed 3rd overall in the conference posting 165/260 points.
The current events team of Grant Kendall, Lauren Dickey, Lauren McClusky, and Tara Steffen tied for 3rd overall in conference.
Senior Maddie Cummings placed 2nd in the conference on the Algebra II test.  Way to go!
